NAPLAN results NSW: Top-performing schools, The Hills Shire

NewsLocal has crunched the numbers to find the top-performing schools in The Hills Shire. See the results here.

Each year, thousands of school students sit down to complete their NAPLAN test.

Now the results are in, and NewsLocal can reveal ten schools from across The Hills Shire are counted among the top-performing schools in NSW.

These schools are evenly split between primary and secondary but, in an interesting twist, the vast majority of them are coeducational public schools.

See what schools performed the best below.

Ten Hills Shire schools are ranked among the top-performers in NSW.

1. Matthew Pearce Public School

Over the past five years, Matthew Pearce Public School has had an amazing rise up the ranks of top-performing NSW primary schools.

Now, this primary school is ranked sixth in NSW, achieving well above average scores in all five NAPLAN subject areas — numeracy, grammar, spelling, writing and reading.

2. Baulkham Hills High School

Baulkham Hills High School, an academically selective public school, is also ranked sixth in the list of NSW’s NAPLAN results by high school.

This selective school consistently achieves high academic marks, and is often counted among the top schools in NSW for ATAR results.

3. Oakhill Drive Public School

This public school came 42nd in NewsLocal’s list of top-performing NSW primary schools.

Over the past five years, Oakhill Drive’s NAPLAN results have been steadily improving, and this school has rapidly climbed up the ranks of NSW’s best primary schools.

4. Cherrybrook Public School

Over the past couple of years, Cherrybrook Public School has achieved consistently high results in the NAPLAN test. This year was no different with Cherrybrook Public coming in 47th.

5. Annangrove Public School

Annangrove Public School has achieved outstanding results in all areas of the NAPLAN test. They are now ranked 53rd in NSW.

6. William Clarke College

Located in Kellyville, this coeducational Anglican high school is ranked 66th in the state for 2021’s NAPLAN results.

7. Cherrybrook Technology High School

Cherrybrook Technology High School has also made it into the list of NSW’s top 70 high schools. This year, Cherrybrook Tech is ranked sixty-ninth for their NAPLAN results.

8. The Hills Grammar School

The Hills Grammar — a co-ed private school — achieves consistently high results in the NAPLAN. And this year is no different, with The Hills Grammar coming in at seventy-third in the state.

9. Tangara School for Girls (primary school)

Tangara School for Girls, an independent Catholic school, achieved well-above average grades in all areas of the NAPLAN test. They are ranked 76th in the state for these results.

10. Mount St Benedict College

This all-girls Catholic high school is the final entry in this list of top-performing schools in The Hills. It’s ranked 76th in the state for average NAPLAN score.
