THE majority of residents across The Hills would often reminisce about the fun of Cracker Night growing up. But did you know you can still take a step back in time and enjoy some cracker carnival fun?
Murray Farm Public School in Carlingford will, this weekend, celebrate their 47th annual Cracker Carnival night on Saturday June 1.
Cracker carnival convener Belinda Turco said this year the school was introducing a Karaoke room and “resurrecting the chocolate wheel”.
“The team at Murraycino’s are doubling production capacity for spun Fairy Floss shaped into amazing creations,” she said. “This was a real hit at last year’s carnival, with queues throughout the day and night.”
A wide range of international food options will also be on offer throughout the day, .
“Our BBQ is supported by local gourmet butcher Steve’s Fine Meats and will be serving mouth-watering roast pork rolls from the rotisserie after 4pm, with quality sausage sandwiches available all day,” she said.
Murray Farm Public’s Cracker Carnival raised $52,000 for the school in 2018 and saw around 4,000 visitors take part in the day.
