Sunday is fun day as Kenthurst holds its street parade and there’s the Bella Vista fun run

UPDATED: More than 300 people will be part of the colourful and entertaining Orange Blossom Festival Parade through Kenthurst tomorrow.

The only Orange Blossom Street Parade is in Kenthurst this Sunday.

More than 300 people will be part of the colourful and entertaining Orange Blossom Festival Parade through Kenthurst tomorrow.

It’s the 40th year that Kenthurst Rotary Club has staged the annual Orange Blossom Fair which boasts the only street parade in the Hills.

The fun starts at Kenthurst Rotary Park at 9.30am but Kenthurst Rd will be closed between Jones Rd and Nelson St for an hour between 11am and noon on Sunday for the street parade.

As well as schools and clubs there will be 35 vehicles and three marching bands taking part.

The fun then continues at the park with rides and entertainment until 3pm.

Also on Sunday Castle Hill Rotary Club is holding the Cross Country Challenge at Bella Vista Farm Park with routes to suit all types of runners including a 2.2km run for families

Registration opens at 8.30am.

The 9am start: Experienced Running Group (10.5km)

10am: — Fun Runners Group (7km)

10:30am — Walkers and Family Groups (2.5km)

The event is at Bella Vista Farm Park, Cnr Norwest Boulevard and Elizabeth Macarthur Drive, Bella Vista.

Arrive 30 minutes before your chosen run to register and collect your bib.

Registrations can be done on Sunday morning.

The Powerhouse Discovery centre in Castle Hill is also having an open day on Sunday. and there is an art show at Harvey Lowe Pavilion at Castle Hill Showground over the weekend. Free entry.
