WELCOME to a brand new view of Supercoach, what we’re calling “Supercoach Local: The Battle of the Postcodes”.

After Round 1 of the AFL season, 390 teams have registered in Hills Shire Times’s area, part of the 184,000-strong national competition so far this year.

The Rook III is leading the local campaign after a gripping AFL season kick-off which saw Richmond, Geelong, Port Adelaide, Hawthorn, Western Bulldogs, Brisbane, St Kilda, GWS and Fremantle all start the season with a win.

Top local supercoach Chris from postcode 2126, which covers suburbs including Cherrybrook, scored 2231 points and is ranked 1584th nationally, 167 behind the Supercoach leader Wal13Freo from postcode 3464 in Victoria's Central Goldfields, west of Bendigo.

A total of 52 Supercoach points separate first position and tenth position in Hills Shire Times’s competition.

The median score for all teams nationally was 1936 this week.
