Hezlett Rd, North Kellyville: man flown to hospital with burns after garage explosion
A man has been flown to hospital in a serious condition after an explosion in a garage left him with burns and rocked a residential street in northwest Sydney.

A North Kellyville man is recovering in hospital after a fuel container exploded in his face on Sunday afternoon.
NSW Ambulance, Rural Fire Service volunteers, Fire and Rescue and the CareFlight rapid response helicopter were called to a home at Hezlett Rd, North Kellyville around 2pm on Sunday, January 19.
Neighbours, who rushed to the man's aide in an attempt to put out the fire with a garden hose reported an explosion in the garage of the home, which was set up as a small metalworks business.

A NSW Ambulance spokesman told the Hills Shire Times the man was treated for facial burns and flown to Royal North Shore Hospital around 2.20pm.
"The man was treated by firefighters at the scene before CareFlight and NSW Ambulance arrived at the scene," the spokesman said.
A NSW Fire and Rescue spokesman said a 220L fuel container exploded in the garage of the home.
"Neighbours put out the fire with a garden hose," he said
"The garage was being used for a small metal manufacturing business."
