Australia's Court System

Shelvin Prakash Singh, who had two children aged three and eight in his car while drink driving, has pleaded guilty to high range PCA at Glenorie on May 16.

The 37-year-old Glenorie man was charged after emergency services were called to Post Office Rd about 7.40pm following reports the BMW M5 crashed into four parked vehicles.

Traffic and Highway Patrol Command officers subjected Singh to a roadside breath analysis, which returned a positive result.

He was arrested and taken to Castle Hill police station where he underwent a secondary breath analysis which returned a reading of 0.224.

The man was charged with high range PCA and his driver’s licence was suspended.

At Parramatta Local Court on Thursday, Singh’s lawyer, Navjot Singh, entered a guilty plea on behalf of his client, who was excused from appearing.

The court heard Singh did not agree with the police facts and an adjournment was granted for July 26, when the matter will be heard at Hornsby Court.
