Glenhaven artist Simone Read describes it as an “opportunity of a lifetime” to have her work appearing on a popular TV show this month.

Glenhaven artist Simone Read is ruling the renovation on the latest episode of popular television show House Rules, as she helped renovate the home of loud and proud Lenore and Bradley on Sunday.

This series House Rules: High Stakes is the first to feature a partnership with Art Lovers Australia bringing Australian artists into the picture with a focus on original work as the centrepiece for each renovation.

Simone Read’s work as it appeared on House Rules on channel 7.

Ms Read says it has been an opportunity of a lifetime to have her work showcased on the series.

Her work Curl Curl Ocean Pool is an abstract infusion of colours of rich Australian landscape from an aerial view perspective.

“I painted intricate detail finding exquisite tiny patterns that make up the image,” she said.

Ms Read said creating art from an aerial view perspective gives her a “sense of calm and tranquillity as from above, things appear less chaotic and gives us more time to think and reflect in these quiet moments”.
