Fast five: Police news across The Hills
Five police incidents across The Hills and northwest Sydney during the past week.
North Kellyville
A Beaumont Hills man has been charged after he was allegedly found with 165 tablets of the prescription medication Alprazolam, also known as Xanax, outside a shopping centre on Hezlett Rd.
Police were called to the shopping centre following reports of a male allegedly selling drugs.
Police observed a blue Subaru stop at a loading dock at the centre about 2.45pm on Saturday.
A man approached the car, police said.
Officers spoke to both people and a resealable bag with five Xanax tablets was allegedly found.
Police will allege a search of the car uncovered 165 tablets of Xanax.
One MDMA tablet was also allegedly found.
The driver, a 23-year-old Beaumont Hills man, has been charged with a list of offences including supplying a commercial quantity of a prohibited drug.
He is due to front Parramatta Local Court on July 3.
Bella Vista
A 43-year-old Castle Hill woman has been charged with high-range drink driving after being stopped for a random breath test on Thursday morning.
She was stopped about 10.55am and allegedly failed a breath test.
She was arrested and taken to Castle Hill police station where she allegedly returned a breath analysis of 0.195.
The Castle Hill woman is due to appear at Parramatta Local Court on July 10.
Kellyville Ridge
A 25-year-old man was assaulted by two teenagers while walking along Merriville Rd about 10.15pm on Friday.
He noticed two males arguing and spoke with them before walking away.
The two males allegedly approached the victim and assaulted and injured him.
Police attended and the two teenagers were arrested and taken to Riverstone police station.
An 18-year-old Glenwood man has been charged with common assault and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
He has been given conditional bail to appear at Blacktown Local Court on Monday, July 8.
Meanwhile, a 17-year-old boy will be dealt with under the Young Offenders Act following the incident.
North Rocks
Two North Rocks Rd properties were broken in to last week.
On Wednesday, a home was broken into through a window between 8am and 3.30pm, and a NSW Police shirt and pants were stolen.
IN OTHER NEWS
On Thursday, another property was broken into between 7am and 4pm, also through a window, and a laptop and phone were stolen.
Baulkham Hills
A frying pan worth $500 was stolen from a kiosk at Stockland Baulkham Hills Shopping Centre between Thursday night and Friday morning.
