A DOG which went missing from a property in Carlingford last week has been recovered by police after it was put up for sale online.
Police said the toy poodle went missing from a Vickery Ave property following thunderstorms last Tuesday.
Officers recovered the dog from a property on Galloway St in North Parramatta on Friday after it was spotted being advertised for sale online.
Police said the dog’s owner was thrilled to have their pet back, and investigations were ongoing but no charges had been laid at this stage.
Toy poodles are being advertised for up to $3000 on Gumtree.

Baulkham Hills
A confrontation involving two men on Bass Drive turned ugly when one man pulled a letter box out of the ground before allegedly assaulting the other man with a rock and chisel.
A 23-year-old Wentworthville man was arrested shortly after the incident which happened about 5pm on Friday.
Police said the man pulled a letter box from the ground and allegedly threw the rock at the other man and also hit him with the chisel. The man suffered minor lacerations.
The 23 year old was arrested and will front Parramatta Local Court on Tuesday on several charges including property damage, armed with intent to cause an indictable offence, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and custody of an offensive implement.
Castle Hill
A 20-year-old Baulkham Hills man has been charged with mid-range drink driving after he crashed his car into a guard rail on Showground Rd last Wednesday about 11.20pm.
The man returned a blood-alcohol reading of 0.134. He will front Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday, November 7.
Baulkham Hills
Police seized 65 cannabis plants as well as hydroponics equipment from a property on Peel Rd during a search warrant of the property about 2pm on Thursday.
No charges have been made and police are continuing their investigation.
Carlingford
A 24-year-old man was given a cannabis caution after he was stopped driving along Oakes Rd about 2am on Monday. A small amount of cannabis was found in his vehicle.
Beaumont Hills
Cannabis has been found inside a backpack which was handed into police as lost property. The bag was found on Brampton Drive and handed in on Saturday about 12.30am. Police said no-one had claimed the bag.
Rouse Hill
Police are investigating an incident which resulted in a police officer suffering a minor injury following an interaction with an allegedly intoxicated man.
The incident happened about 9.20pm on Friday on Main St, near Rouse Hill Town Centre. The 30-year-old Riverstone man was taken to Blacktown Hospital for observation.
West Pennant Hills
A Toyota Corolla was stolen from a property on Coonara Ave between Saturday, September 29, and Saturday, October 20. It is understood the owner was on holiday.
Rouse Hill
Three men, aged 21, 26 and 52, involved in a fight on Main St, near Rouse Hill Town Centre, have been charged.
The fight involved six males about 9pm on Saturday, October 13. One person was taken to hospital. The three men have been charged with affray to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday, December 5.
