Castle Hill bar Crooked Tailor has undergone a blue-hued makeover to raise funds for charity.

The bar on Old Northern Rd has painted its front door blue in a bid to raise awareness for Polished Man, a campaign that runs each October to end violence against children.

The staff from Crooked Tailor will also have one fingernail painted blue – representing the one child somewhere in the world who dies every five minutes as a result of violence – as part of the campaign.

Crooked Tailor owner Karl Schlothauer said the idea was to “start a conversation”.

“Everyone loves having a chat to their bartender, so why not use that opportunity to create awareness around such an impactful cause?” he said.

Crooked Tailor will also donate $1 from the sale of every Doss Blockos beer until October 14. The money raised will be put towards trauma prevention and recovery programs for children.
