Three teenagers have been charged over a horrifying attack on police that allegedly took place in Sydney’s west last night.
About 9.30pm officers from The Hills Police Area Command were called to Church St, Castle Hill, following reports of an altercation.
As a male sergeant attempted to arrest an 18-year-old man, he was allegedly threatened by another man, 18.
It will be also be alleged that a 17-year-old girl assaulted the sergeant and attempted to bite his hand before she spat in his face. The girl then allegedly assaulted a second officer; a female constable.
The girl and the two men were arrested and taken to Castle Hill Police Station.
An 18-year-old man, Logan Marshall, was charged with intimidate police officer in execution of his duty, resist officer in execution of duty, and breach of bail.
He was refused bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court today.
The second 18-year-old man was charged with intimidate police officer in execution of his duty. He was granted strict conditional bail and is due to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday, August 5.
The 17-year-old girl was charged with two counts of assault officer in execution of duty, and resist officer in execution of duty.
She was refused bail to appear before a Children’s Court today.
