Julien Vieilletoile of Castle Hill pleads guilty to child grooming following UK police tip off

French national Julien Vieilletoile, who is living in Sydney’s northwest, pleaded guilty to sending sexually explicit messages online to UK police officers who were posing as a 12-year-old girl.

A French national living in northwest Sydney encouraged a person he believed to be a 12-year-old girl online to have sexual intercourse with a young boy.

Julien Vieilletoile, 27, appeared at Parramatta Local Court via video link from Silverwater Metropolitan Remand Centre on Tuesday.

He pleaded guilty to using a carriage service to send indecent material to a person less than 16 years.

Speaking with a heavy French accent, Mr Vieilletoile — who is in Australia on a student Visa — initially did not understand Magistrate Rodney Brender, however he eventually pleaded guilty.

Strike Force Trawler — a specialist police unit which conducts covert investigations online to hunt down sex offenders — arrested him at his home in Castle Hill around 4.40pm on Saturday, following a tipoff from UK police.

According to police facts on May 13 the he engaged in online communication with an undercover operative from UK police on a chat website under the screen name “jay27”

The UK police operative was using the assumed online identity AOI of a 12-year-old girl.

Mr Vieiletoille is alleged to have engaged in sexually motivated conversation with AOI and described in explicit detail the sexual acts he wished AOI to perform on a boy.

Police facts state he wrote “show a bit of your tits and when you see him being hard through his pyjamas, take it in your hands, maybe in your mouth”.

Facts tendered to court state Vieilletoile supplied his snapchat username “nastyware” and instagram “julien-vt1t1” to AOI to send the images.

The accused sent a number of images of himself to AOI and requested images in return, according to court documents.

Vieilletoile made full admissions to investigators regarding the online communication.

Police facts state Mr Vieilletoile has no dependents and pays $250 per week in rent.

The matter has been adjourned to June 30.
