The Hills Shire is estimated to grow by another 100,000 people over the next 15 years, rising to well above 250,000 people, with an additional 44,000 new homes to accommodate the growth of the suburb.

Developers behind Carrington Place – which is one of the largest residential project to contribute to new housing in the city centre – say the project will be at the heart of Castle Hill’s transformation into a mini-metropolis.

“Carrington Place is a key contributor to the housing needs of Castle Hill locals now as well as being part of its future,” Ellipse Property development boss Nigel Farquhar said.

“Castle Hill population growth, in parallel with successful growth in commercial and retail business in The Hills area means demand is high for new homes.”

Mr Faruquhar said since the opening of that link in 2019, Castle Hill has opened as a “new residential destination for more people across Sydney”.

“The fast connectivity to education and employment precincts and the CBD has meant more people have been able to consider Caste Hill,” he said.

“Locals are already reaping the benefits of many of Castle Hill’s new amenities and are excited for what can only be described as a significant growth era in the traditionally semirural northwest suburb.”

Also among the driving forces of the new metropolis is the “multibillion-dollar masterplan” to transform Castle Towers into storey shopping centre the Castle Hill Shopping Centre.
