A NEW dining experience is set to take the suburbs by storm when Arthur Anton from Hornsby’s Blu Water Grill opens The Brook at Cherrybrook Village Shopping Centre.
The Brook will take over the Oliver Brown and former La Carretta shopfronts for a city lunch cafe and upper market restaurant when the sun goes down according to business owner Arthur Anton.
“Cherrybrook is screaming out for a new, good food scene and we want to be the ones to give it to them,” Mr Anton told the Advocate.
“It has always held a special place in my heart, and the clientele is so similar to Hornsby, so we jumped at the opportunity to spread our wings.”
Mr Anton said specialist interior designer DS17 would create a Surry Hills vibe at the heart of the suburban shopping centre and gave Advocate readers an exclusive look at the plans.
“Cherrybrook needs to step up when it comes to good places to dine out,” he said. “We wanted to be the ones to do it with a beautiful fit-out and menu to match.”
Mr Anton said he and his team will have big shoes to fill, replacing longtime Italian restaurant La Carretta at the centre.
“People knew of their Pizzas so we have brought in an incredible pizza oven and a menu that features our own take,” Mr Anton said.
The foodie hopes to establish a strong long lunch vibe at his new suburban store, when it opens in the coming months.
