Each year the Hills community gather in Dural for a glittering night of entertainment, all for a worthy cause.

The Hills Annual Charity Gala Ball has raised tens of thousands of dollars for various charities, with last year’s ball raising $48,000 for The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.

This year the ball will support the Riding for the Disabled Association NSW’s The Tall Timbers Centre.

Each year the centre in Box Hill provides therapeutic and recreational horse riding and activities for more than 200 people of all ages, and heavily relies on donations to subsidise costs for participants.

This month the Hills community hope to give RDA a $25,000 fundraising boost through the black and white ball.

Hosted by Dural Italian restaurant Biviano’s, the ball will be held on Thursday, August 23, and will include a three-course dinner, live entertainment and raffles.

Guests will include Minister for Disability Services Ray Williams and Hills Shire Mayor Michelle Byrne, while well-known community member Dr Jim Taggart will MC.

Tickets cost $120 per person and can be purchased online.
