Westfields Sports High School, Leiven Vunipola charged with vandalising school
A teen is accused of being part of a group of students who allegedly broke into a popular sports high school and caused about $40,000 worth of damage, court hears.

A teenager who allegedly took part in a destructive late night crime spree at a school in Sydney’s south west has fronted court.
Soatame Leiven Vunipola, 18 of Fairfield East, has been charged with break and enter, malicious damage, stealing and graffiti.
According to police, Vunipola – along with fellow 18-year-old Nathaniel Ifopo and six others (all aged 17-years) – allegedly damaged classrooms, spray painted walls, smashed property and stole a guitar from Westfields Sports High School before fleeing the scene.
The extent of the damage is estimated at between $30,000 – $40,000.
As part of ongoing police investigations, a 17-year-old from Wakeley was also arrested and charged with break and enter, malicious damage, stealing and graffiti.
He appeared before children’s court on Monday.
Vunipola was granted bail and is due to appear at Fairfield Local Court on December 16.
Ifopo will appear in the same court December 7.
Police have now arrested all eight teenagers allegedly involved in the incident at the specialist sports high school.
They remain before the courts.
