/2126: One day our daughter saw an article from a Council Animal Shelter about cats that only had days to live unless they found a home. Without me knowing, my wife and daughter couldn’t resist the little fella. (Happy Walter’s day) Walter is now one year old. He is a born trophy hunter. At night he sweeps the neighbourhood for mice, rats, lizards, cicadas (his favourite), cockroaches, beetles and best of all he has a 100% success rate when it comes to catching flies on the fly. He loves his Mum to bits, the one who saved him. They are inseparable at home. Happy Walter’s dad Ivan Jensen, Engadine

/2140. Ludo joined our family two and a half years ago after being abandoned at the pound by his previous owners. We don't know what kind of life he had but he was scared, skiddish and didn't trust us very much at all; touching the Ludo was such an honour. Ludo is the best cat because he's worked hard to overcome his fears. He is the calmest, most placid cat who, while still warming up to being properly held, let's us pick him up, dress him up and comes to sit beside us for belly rubs Hola from Ludo! Marrickville Tamara De Michiel
/2139: Despite how appealing it may look lying around all day and getting stroked, being a fostered cat isn't easy work for our kitten ‘Paris’. It's easy to forget how simple it is for us humans to do simple tasks like grabbing a glass of water, but it's not so easy for our feline friend who is, you know, without thumbs. When we picked Paris home from the Blacktown Holding Facility we realised she had a drinking problem, or more specifically, she preferred to drink from a tap, and it's absolutely adorable. Jaime Clarke
/2138: Hugo is amazing we were out driving one day and seen an ad for a cat that needed a home. The owners were unable to keep him we met Hugo and fell in love with him. Hugo is one of a kind he snores so loud due to his flat nose and looks angry all the time but his loveable. His not pretty or cute but he has attitude and that is what’s loveable about him. Christine Bennett, Bateau Bay
/2137: Hello I’m Levi — Levi like blue jeans & I’m a cool Burmese Blue nearly 3 and I’m the man. Cool Katz love us on insta @saphiecatbyronbay with over 7k followers but we follow 9, Puma, Jaguar, The Cat Empire if you understand a little tongue in cheek coolness .. So basically how could you not slot me in the 100. I’m one cool Kat. Piers Booth
/2136: I found this kitten about the size of my hand 18 months ago in the gutter. She’s the most adorable little thing and joins the other two little ones we found on the street over the years. I’m sure she is part meerkat because of the way she constantly stands on her hind legs leaning backwards for considerable periods of time when she hears a noise or sees something new to her. Peter Stratton
/2135: Meet my purrrfect family! Ziva, Jaws, Mia, Ducky & Gus. All were stray cats, 4 of which were born on our property. Our big boy Jaws keeps our fur family in order! He looks after his sick Mum Ziva (FIV) & my boyfriend and I. The furbabies are our world but Jaws is my guardian angel! I wouldn't have it any other way! Amanda House
/2134: Mr Snuggles was born and bred in the Hills & has been with us for 9 years. He has no teeth, weighs in at 8.5 kgs, loves being dressed up by my 7 year old daughter and absolutely has to sleep on my head nestled into my hair every night! He is our purrrrfect pet Rebecca Lipovac, Castle Hill
/2133: Oska my cat is one handsome little man. My husband is on deployment and misses him like crazy! They have the cutest little Bromance thing going on and he would seriously fangirl if he saw him feature in The Daily Telegraph. Liana Raschella
/2132: Merlin the Meowgician; he who has no time for inferior cat products. He who treats all with utter disdain unless there’s scritches. He who protects the house from Spiders by dumping them in the toilet. Lover of sun and window views.
/2131: This is my baby, Cash. He’s a 15 month old Siberian cat with a handsome meowstache. He’s a very social boy who enjoys jumping on top of the fridge so he can sit right underneath the roof. His nickname is Captain Risky as you can always find him in the most precarious of places. He hates wearing costumes but will pose so that you take it off as fast as possible! Stacey Taggart
/2130: The boss of our household, that gets what he wants, when he wants, is spoiled rotten and has the attitude of a sassy teenage girl who doesn’t give a damn! Only gives cuddles when he wants something, and if he doesn’t get it he’ll start knocking things off the table for attention. He’s way too cute to stay mad at! Pamela Kondos, Greystanes
/2129: Our rescue cat Maverick (Mav) is the laziest, fussiest and noisiest cat ever. He lives in Belrose with his hoomans since we rescued him from the RSPCA nearly 3 years ago. His favourite food is eye fillet steak, he meows to announce he is going to use his litter tray and he sleeps on our beds at night. He also enjoys sitting up and watching us and expecting us to do his bidding as per his photo. Yvette Mihelic
/2128: This is Barnacles the cat. He comes to a whistle, rolls over for belly-rubs and is loved by every human he meets. Barnacles was adopted as a six week old kitten from Sydney's Cat Protection society. Nicholas Eagar, Newtown
/2127: My cat Spider is the coolest cat ever. He is a catdog. He sits. He comes. He plays. He chills with everyone at BBQs. He looks after me and never leaves my side when my partner is not home. He is the boss of the street and loves attention. He beats up the beagle next door and eats her food almost daily. He’s got swag. Most importantly he loves me as he loves biscuits. Sophie Thach
/2126: We call Havana the supermodel alley cat. She is a chocolate brown Siamese with long legs and an elegant manner but she is also very adventurous. She thinks of herself as the queen of Annandale and likes to visit her many subjects, sampling their pets’ food and even sleeping on their beds. We live near a light rail station and at 6 o’clock every night Havana greets the returning workers, who reward her with a pat. From Josie Lehmann, 9 Annandale.
/2125: Our beautiful rescue cat Penne (as in pasta) waits at the top of the stairs every afternoon and welcomes us back home after he has had a busy day of napping. Nikki Reitano
/2124: This is Digby Wigglesworth III of Glenhaven NSW. He is so special we have foster over 50 kittens from Blacktown Animal Hold Facility in the last 2 years and Digby has welcomed them all without losing a moment of his coolness. He is the best big brother, he provides calm, warmth and happiness to all the kittens I bring home. Love him to bits. Cate Hayton
/2123: This is my cat Callie who after 10 months mended a very broken heart. Callie will bring a ball to me so we can play fetch. She will purr all the time while you talk to her and, she wakes me up every morning by licking me and patting me. Sandra Millhouse, Padstow
/2122: This is Odin, a 2 year old Maine Coon and we live at Hamlyn Terrace. He is a gentle giant, loves sitting at the kitchen bench and watching what you are doing, loves sleeping on top of your shoes, loves to be wherever you are and loves watching me cooking. He is seriously the coolest. Although one thing he does hates is cuddles.
/2121: Anastasia Oksana Katherina Anna Pavlova from Marsfield — Anastasia is a rescued kitten who was found covered in ticks and fleas, very skinny and malnourished in April 2018 on the Central Coast. After being overlooked for adoption by many potential adopters, she was finally adopted in August 2018 and brought to Sydney. She has since grown up into a stunningly beautiful young adult cat with the characteristics of a Norwegian Forest pedigree cat.
