A FAIRFIELD police officer has been recognised in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List.
Inspector Donna Faul is the commander of the Protocol and Awards Unit, which organises service delivery for medals and awards within the NSW Police Force.
Insp Faul joined the NSW Police Force as a trainee in 1986 before she was attested as a probationary constable based at Fairfield station in 1987.
She was promoted to her current rank in 2014 and posted to her current command in 2016.
Insp Faul’s current responsibilities include processes for medals and awards reviews, service delivery at NSW Police funerals, and liaising with police commands and victims support groups.
NSW Police Commissioner Mick Fuller congratulated Insp Faul and eight other Australian Police Medal recipients.
“This award recognises the important and valued contribution officers make to their local communities every day,” Mr Fuller said.
“Whilst officers don’t embark on a policing career for awards and accolades, it’s humbling to honour their distinguished service today.”
