Carramar Public School: Truck crash leaves one driver trapped

VIDEO: Two drivers were lucky to escape injury following a crash in Sydney’s southwest, which resulted in one truck entering a schoolyard.

Two truck drivers were lucky to escape serious injury following a crash in Carramar.

Emergency services were called to the Horsley Drive shortly before 1pm following reports two trucks were involved in a collision.

Bankstown and Liverpool firefighters arrived at the scene to find one truck had entered the schoolyard at Carramar Public School as a result of the crash and the driver was trapped.

Crews worked to stabilise the truck and free the driver.

Bankstown station officer Tony Camilleri said: “Fortunately … there were no children in the yard and both drivers sustained minor injuries and were treated by ambulance on the scene.”

Police also attended the scene.
