Once the four houses in Canley Heights are demolished, a developer would build an apartment block of 80 units.

That’s according to a development application currently before council.

The four houses were bundled together and sold last year. A handsome $7.6m was paid for 27, 29, 31 and 33 Ascot St, fetching each homeowner $1.9m.

And now, according to Zhinar Architects’ application, a further $19.4m would be spent building the six-storey block of apartments.

The 80 unit complex would sit on nearly 3000 sqm of land, and would include 14 one bedders, 62 two bedders and four three bedders.

Its basement would feature a two level car park. Out of its 108 spaces, 87 would be allocated to residents, 20 to visitors and one would be dedicated to offloading goods or washing the car.

The location places it near shops and public transport. Canley Heights city centre is 150 metres away, as is the nearest bus stop on Canley Vale Road, though Canley Vale station is 1.7 kilometres away.

The application was publicly exhibited from October 25 to November 9.
