Cabramatta High teacher Michael Araco on further charges of assault and intimidation
Police have laid assault and stalking charges on a Cabramatta High School teacher alleged to have driven his car towards a group of students as they played basketball after school.

A Sydney teacher who allegedly drove a car into the path of students as they played basketball faces further charges of assault and intimidation.
Police allege Michael Araco, 30, deliberately drove his car towards several students multiple times after school at Cabramatta High on December 17.
He was arrested later that evening and charged with take action that results in emotional/intellectual damage and intimidation.
They allege Mr Araco’s actions appeared “likely to result in a young person suffering emotional or psychological harm of such a kind that the emotional or intellectual development of the said young person was significantly damaged,” according to court documents.
Mr Araco, who is on bail, entered pleas of not guilty to those charges in January.
Court documents reveal police have since laid further charges of stalk/intimidate intend fear physical/harm and two counts of common assault against the Casula resident.
Police allege the three offences also occurred on the same day.
Pleas have not been formally entered for the later charges.
In January, a NSW Department of Education spokesman said Mr Araco was removed from the school in December.
“Support was offered to the students involved in the incident,” the spokesman said at the time.
“As this matter is before the courts the department cannot comment further.”
The matter was adjourned to July 1 at Liverpool Local Court.
