Cabramatta, Riverwood, Smithfield: NSW Police Raptor Squad dismantle two drug labs after raids
Almost $100,000 worth of illegal drugs have been seized following simultaneous raids of three homes in Sydney’s southwest, which included the dismantling of two clandestine drug labs.

Almost $100,000 worth of illegal drugs have been seized following simultaneous raids of three homes in Sydney’s southwest, which included the dismantling of two clandestine drug labs.
NSW Police’s Raptor Squad launched Strike Force Shaulua in June 2022 to investigate a syndicate with suspected links to the manufacture and supply of prohibited drugs.
About 6.30am on Wednesday, strike force detectives executed three search warrants at Cabramatta, Riverwood and Smithfield.
During a search of the Cabramatta address, officers found $9500 in cash, ammunition, mobile phones and items consistent with the manufacture and supply of prohibited drugs as well as a stash of drugs.
This included 500g of cannabis, three ounces of methamphetamine, an ounce of heroin, over 150 suboxone strips, and 50ml of GBL.
Specialist officers attached to the Drug and Firearms Squad’s Chemical Operations Unit and Technical and Forensic Support Unit were called in to process and dismantle the suspected labs, which will continue on Thursday.
During the execution of the search warrant iat Riverwood, police found a further $7000 in cash, 12g of methamphetamine and a number of mobile phones.
While at the Smithfield address, police located 30g of methamphetamine and 200g of cannabis.
All the items were seized to undergo further forensic examination.
In total, the prohibited drugs located by detectives are estimated to have a combined street value of $98,000. Inquiries under Strike Force Shaula continue.
