An alleged teenage drink driver has been charged following a fatal crash in the state’s central west earlier this year where a 17-year-old was killed.

An alleged teenage drink driver has been charged following a fatal crash in the state’s central west earlier this year after his utility had rolled.
Central West Police District officers and emergency services were called to The Gipps Way, near Burcher, about 50km south of Condobolin, just after midnight on March 24 following reports of a crash.
Police said officers located the utility had left the roadway and rolled.
The passenger, a 17-year-old boy, died at the scene.
The driver, an 18-year-old man, was treated for serious injuries by NSW Ambulance paramedics before he was flown to Liverpool Hospital in a serious condition.
“A crime scene was established as specialist police investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident,” police said in a statement.
The driver was arrested at Wagga Wagga police station on Wednesday where he was charged with dangerous driving occasioning in death, negligent driving occasioning in death and low range drink driving.
He was granted conditional bail to appear before West Wyalong Local Court on November 21.
A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
