A 44-year-old man has died following a two-vehicle crash in the state’s west.
About 5.50am on Saturday, emergency services were called to the Newell Highway near Tomingley, 31km south of Dubbo, following reports of a collision between a truck and Mazda 323.
Police were told the truck and car crashed, before the truck rolled, blocking both lanes.
The Mazda driver died at the scene.
The 64-year-old male truck driver was taken to Dubbo Base Hospital for mandatory testing.
Orana Mid-Western Police District officers established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
As inquiries are continuing, police urge anyone with dashcam footage to contact Dubbo Police Station.
