Strath Munro: Charged with rural crime across western NSW

A man has been charged as part of an ongoing investigation into property-related crime in rural areas throughout western NSW.
Strike Force Dozer was established by officers from the Rural Crime Prevention Team and Orana Mid-Western Police District to investigate rural property crime throughout Narromine, Warren, Trangie, Nyngan and Cobar.
Officers have established proactive patrols on Merri Merri Road, south of Carinda, on April 28, when they located a vehicle that had been reported stolen from Narromine in March.
Further investigations led officers to a shop in Carinda, where they arrested a 24-year-old man about 1pm on the same day.
Narromine resident Strath Munro was taken to Walgett Police Station and charged with drive conveyance taken without consent of owner with additional charges of an outstanding warrant in relation to two counts of take and drive conveyance without consent of owner, larceny, enter enclosed agricultural land damage property-aggravated, destroy or damage property, steal trailer, damage property by fire, custody of knife in public place, possess ammunition without holding licence and possession of prohibited drugs.
He was refused bail and appeared at Dubbo Local Court on April 29 where he was granted conditional bail to reappear on May 19.
Investigations are continuing.
