Springwood Park Rd and Cope Rd: Emergency fire warning for residents to seek shelter

Residents in the state’s central west have been advised to seek shelter as rapid fires are burning throughout the region.
NSW Fire and Rescue Service have placed an emergency warning as there is a fire burning towards Springwood Park Rd and Cope Rd, Cope, 45km north of Mudgee, advising residents to “seek shelter as the fire approaches”.

A NSW Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman advised residents of the area it is too late to leave.
“The fire is impacting on homes and properties in the area, so the message is to shelter now,” she said.
The spokeswoman has not recieved any reports of livestock being impacted, however she said the fire is blanketing over rural properties.
There are more than 20 firefighters on the ground supported by other emergency services, including water bombing aircraft.
