Orange: Four children charged after alleged police pursuit in stolen vehicle
Four children, some as young as 12, have been charged following an alleged police pursuit in a stolen car in the state’s central west.

Four children have been charged after an alleged police pursuit involving a stolen car in the state’s central west.
Police said Central West officers attempted to stop a Toyota Kluger for the purpose of a random breath test about 2.40am on January 11.
Police allege a pursuit was initiated after the vehicle failed to stop, and continued throughout Orange to Canowindra Rd and back into Orange.
According to a police statement, officers successfully deployed road spikes on Cargo Rd and the vehicle continued through Orange before it stopped in Raines Pl.
Three boys and a girl exited the vehicle and fled on foot however, they were arrested a short time later and taken to Orange police station.
The car was allegedly stolen overnight from a home on McLachlan St in Orange.
A 14-year-old boy is facing charges of not stopping during a police pursuit, driving a stolen vehicle, participating in a criminal group and entering enclosed land.
A 13-year-old boy is facing charges of being carried in a stolen vehicle, entering enclosed land, participating in a criminal group and breaching bail.
Another 13-year-old boy is facing charges of being carried in a stolen vehicle, participating in a criminal group and breaching bail.
A 12-year-old girl is facing charges of being carried in a stolen vehicle.
The three boys were refused bail to appear at a children’s court on Thursday.
The girl was granted conditional bail to appear at a children’s court on February 8.
