A woman has been charged with a domestic violence related offence allegedly resulting in an elderly man’s death. Here’s the latest.

A woman has been refused bail following the death of an elderly man in a home in the State’s central west on Monday night.

Emergency services were called to a home on Todd Pl, Orange, about 8.10pm, after reports a 77-year-old man had been injured.

Officers from Central West Police District and NSW Ambulance paramedics conducted CPR on the man, however he died enroute to the Orange Health Service.

Sharon Ann Davies, 52, was arrested at the scene and taken to Orange Police Station where she was charged with assault causing death - domestic violence.

She was refused bail by Orange Local Court - she will reappear on October 19.
