A man in his 40s has been hospitalised after he was shot with a spear gun following a verbal altercations.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Raines Pl and Orchard Grove Rd, Orange, about 10.30pm on Wednesday, following reports a man was shot with a spear gun.
Police were told the 47-year-old man was in a verbal altercation with two other men who were known to him before he was shot.
The man was taken to Orange Health Service by NSW Ambulance paramedics before he was flown to Westmead Hospital for treatment.
His injuries are not considered life-threatening.
Officers attached to Central West Police District have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
