A third teenage boy has been charged following an investigation into multiple robbery and traffic-related offences in the state’s central west.

Following extensive investigations into the theft of two Tesla’s, multiple break ins and assault, police have arrested a 17-year-old boy at a business on Whylandra St, Dubbo on Thursday, November 23.

He was taken to Dubbo Police Station and charged with being carried in a stolen vehicle and possessing prohibited drugs.

The boy was granted conditional bail by a children’s court and is to reappear on January 8, 2024.

Two boys, aged 15 and 16, were arrested earlier this month after they allegedly forced entry into a home on Royal Pines Close, Dubbo, and allegedly stole two white Tesla’s.

Just after 3am on November 15, police approached a Tesla parked on Illoura St, when it attempted to mount the kerb before it crashed into the front of a police vehicle.

The occupant fled the vehicle on foot.

Two police officers were injured and taken to Dubbo Base Hospital for treatment.

About 3.15am, police were patrolling Oxley Circle, when they attempted to stop the second vehicle.

When the Tesla failed to stop, a pursuit was initiated. It was terminated due to safety concerns.

The Tesla was later located abandoned in a laneway between John Glen Pl and Pegasus Pl – both vehicles were seized for forensic examination.

Between 2am and 6am the following morning, police received multiple reports of aggravated break ins at two units in a retirement village and a business on Depot Rd and Victoria St.
