Just a fortnight after carving the Reds up in their only official trial match in Narrabri, coach Rob Penney has named the men he will send into battle on Friday night - and the newbies who could earn their first cap with the Super Rugby club.
Sam Caird (left lock), Jack Whetton (right lock) and former rugby league player Izaia Perese (outside lock) have been named in the team being lead by new captain Jake Gordon.
But named as reserves are Sio Tatola from the Manly Marlins and the Generation Next of rugby in Eastern Suburbs players Jermey Willimans and Jack Grant and Eastwood rugby’s Tane Edmed.
Both Edmed and Grant played in the Waratahs 45-33 trial win over the Reds.
Edmed is the son of former Balmain Tigers star Steve and Grant’s father is former Wallaby and Balmain Tigers player James Grant.
Also in line to make his debut off the bench is youngster Jeremy Williams who turned out for Randwick in the Shute Shield last year before being injured.
