A man has been charged as part of an ongoing investigation into property related crime in regional areas throughout the central west.
Orana Mid-Western Police District officers established Strike Force Dozer earlier this year with assistance of the Rural Crime Prevention Team to investigate rural property crime throughout Narromine, Warren, Trangie, Nyngan and Cobar.
As part of ongoing inquiries, police arrested a 23-year-old man on McNamara’s Ln where he was taken to Narromine Police Station and charged with 29 offences.
The offences include five counts of taking and driving a conveyance without the consent of an owner, five counts of damage to property by fire greater than $15,000, four counts of stealing motor vehicles, three counts of entering a building with intent to commit an indictable offence, two counts of larceny, two counts of contravening an AVO, break and enter a house with intention to steal, larceny value greater than $5000 and less than $15,000 and possession of prohibited drugs.
The Narromine man was refused bail and appeared at Dubbo Local Court on Thursday, where he was refused bail to reappear at Narromine Local Court on June 8.
Investigations are continuing.
