Narromine: Boy, 11, injured after being found near police car crash

An 11-year-old boy has been hospitalised after he was found next to a police car – allegedly stolen – which crashed into a tree. Here’s the latest.

An 11-year-old boy has been hospitalised after a police car, which had been allegedly stolen, crashed into a tree in the Central West.

Orana Mid-Western Police District were called to Temoin St, Narromine, about 8pm on January 29, where a fully marked police car had left the roadway and hit a tree.

An 11-year-old boy was found beside the car and was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Narromine Hospital, then Dubbo Base Hospital, with minor injuries.

A crime scene has been established and inquiries are underway.

NSW Police has confirmed a break-and-enter has occurred at Narromine Police Station.

The vehicle sustained substantial damage.
