Narromine: A 28-year-old man who had a 5-year-old boy in the backseat allegedly went on a police pursuit
A man allegedly led police on a pursuit after near colliding with a cop car and almost hitting a pedestrian, while a five-year-old boy was in the car, police allege.

A man who had a five-year-old child in the rear passenger seat of his wagon - towing a trailer - has been arrested after almost crashing in a cop car and taking police on a wild pursuit, police allege.
Orana Mid-Western Police District officers were called before 5pm on Sunday after concerns for the welfare of a woman seen on the side of the road near Narromine.
The 28-year-old man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was driving a station wagon, which was towing a trailer, allegedly towards the police on Warren Rd, forcing them to take “evasive action” to avoid a collision.
Police will allege the driver ignored officer’s instructions to stop and a pursuit was initiated.
Police will also allege in court a pedestrian crossing Dandaloo St a short time later was almost hit by the vehicle.
When officers stopped the driver in McGrane Way, a five-year-old boy was found in the rear passenger seat.
The man was taken to Dubbo Police Station where he was charged with intimidation (domestic violence), police pursuit, resisting arrest and two counts of predatory driving.
The man was refused bail and will appear before Dubbo Local Court today.
A 36-year-old woman who was not injured, has been reunited with her son.
