Police are on the hunt for two men who allegedly stole “a number of jewellery items” from a business in the state’s central west.
Two men allegedly broke into a jewellery store in a shopping centre on Mortimer St, Mudgee, before 1am on September 16.
A police statement said the men allegedly stole “a number of jewellery items” before exiting the store and walking along the street.
“The two men have entered a red SUV which was last seen driving west on Gladstone St, Mudgee,” the police statement said.
A manhunt was underway to find the two Caucasian men both described to have a medium build.
One of the men was wearing a grey hooded jumper at the time of the incident, a light coloured wrap around face covering, blue pants, dark coloured boots, a black shoulder bag and grey gloves.
The other man was wearing a black hooded jumper a light coloured face covering, blue pants, blue gloves and blue sneakers.
Police would also like to speak with a man sitting in a white van parked on Byron St, Mudgee, at the time of the robbery.
