A 21-year-old man has been charged with a string of firearm and domestic violence offences in the state’s central west earlier this week.
Central West Police District officers attended a home on Morobe Place, Orange, around 7.50pm on Tuesday, following reports of a domestic violence incident earlier that evening.
Upon arrival, police arrested Jake Patrick Tinson where he was taken to Orange Police Station.
During a search of the home police located and seized firearm parts, two gel blaster firearms and ammunition.
Tinson was charged with domestic violence-related common assault, destroying or damaging property, possessing an unauthorised firearm, possessing an unauthorised pistol, possessing an unregistered prohibited firearm and possessing an unregistered pistol.
He was also charged with not keeping a pistol safely, not keeping a prohibited firearm safely, acquiring a firearm without a licence and acquiring a prohibited firearm without a licence.
Tinson was granted bail by Orange Local Court on Wednesday and was ordered to be of good behaviour and not enter or go near Morobe Place.
He is to reappear at the same court on September 16.
