A man accused of murder after another man was found dead at a home in NSW’s Central West has not applied for bail.

Roger Kilby, 38, has been charged with murder after police made the grave discovery at a Peaks Hill home on March 12.

The man found dead at the home has now been identified as Andrew John Anthony, 57, and police will allege he was killed some time between 5pm on March 11 and 11am on March 12.

In an earlier statement, NSW Police said emergency services were called to a home on Boori St, Peak Hill – north of Parkes – just after 11am on Sunday after concerns were raised for the occupant’s welfare.

Kilby was arrested and charged with the murder of Mr Anthony later that afternoon.

“Officers attached to Central West Police District attended, along with NSW Ambulance paramedics, and located the body of a man inside the property,” police state.

Kilby appeared at Orange Local Court via audiovisual link on Monday, alongside his solicitor Lara Martyn-France.

Ms Martyn-France confirmed Kilby would not be applying for bail on this occasion and he was remanded in custody.

Kilby has not entered any pleas to the charge and will next appear at Parkes Local Court on May 4.

A crime scene was established at the Peak Hill and was being forensically examined.

Detectives established Strike Force Hattersley to investigate the circumstances surrounding the man’s death, which is being treated as suspicious.

Investigations are ongoing.
