A driver who was arrested before being released after a fatal crash, killing an 18-year-old man, has been charged with numerous offences.
Emergency services were called to Lue Rd, Mount Knowles, following reports of a two-ute crash on Monday about 4.20pm.
On arrival, Orana Mid-Western Police District officers found the two utilities had crashed before leaving the road into a nearby paddock. One ute crashed into a creek.
The Mitsubishi Triton passenger, 18, died at the scene.
The 25-year-old driver of the car was flown to Westmead Hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.
The Ford driver, a 29-year-old man, was arrested and taken to Mudgee Hospital for mandatory testing.
He was then taken to Mudgee police station but has been released pending further investigation.
On Thursday, the man was arrested and charged with dangerous driving occasioning in death, dangerous driving occasioning in grievous bodily harm, negligent driving occasioning in death and grievous bodily harm.
He was granted strict conditional bail to appear before Mudgee Local Court on December 5.
