Two heartbroken women have already raised thousands of dollars to support the grieving family of a man who was killed in a horrific crash earlier this week.

Jai Green, 24, died after his motorcycle left the road and hit a tree in the state’s central west on Wednesday.

Emergency services were called to Lachlan St, Cowra, shortly after 8pm following reports a motorcycle had left the road and hit a tree.

Green was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics but died at the scene.

On Thursday, two local women, Lee Verdon and Amanda White, set up a GoFundMe page to raise funds for Mr Green’s funeral costs.

More than $4000 had been raised by Friday morning, with a goal of $10,000 to cover funeral expenses.

Mr Green had been described as a son, a brother and a “loved one” who “was taken too soon”.

“May he rest in peace, our forever valentine,” the post read.

Chifley Police District officers established a crime scene to investigate the circumstance surrounding the incident.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
