A man has been charged following an alleged assault in the state’s central west at the weekend.
Emergency services were called to Naman St, Dubbo, shortly before 8pm on Sunday and found a 32-year-old man suffering a head injury.
The man was taken to Dubbo Base Hospital before being flown to Westmead Hospital.
Police have confirmed he is in a stable condition.
Orana Mid-Western Police District officers have been told the man was allegedly involved in an altercation with 25-year-old Jarrod Leonard before he was knocked to the ground.
Following inquiries, Leonard was arrested at a home on the same street at 11.45am on Monday before being taken to Dubbo police station.
He was charged with reckless grievous bodily harm and larceny.
The accused was refused bail to appear at Dubbo Local Court on Tuesday, when he was formally refused bail to reappear at the same court on October 25.
