An elderly man has died after a two-vehicle crash on an intersection in the central west.
Emergency services responded to reports of a crash between a car and a truck about 4.45pm on Tuesday, at the intersection of the Newell Highway and Wirrinya Rd, Forbes.
The 85-year-old male car driver died at the scene.
The 26-year-old truck driver was taken to Forbes District Hospital for mandatory testing.
Central West Police District officers established a crime scene and started an investigation into the matter.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
