Fitstop’s Craig Anderson crowned Dubbo’s best personal trainer in 2023

It’s official: Craig Anderson is Dubbo’s best personal trainer. Read why him and his team fill the “void” in Dubbo’s gym scene.

The votes are in and our readers have spoken: Fitstop’s Craig Anderson has been crowned the region’s best personal trainer in 2023.

Mr Anderson, who runs and owns the popular Fitstop franchise in Dubbo, said it came down to offering a service which has not been delivered in the area before.

The trainer opened the gym more than 18 months ago and has been thrilled to “fill the void” missing from Dubbo’s gym scene.

With more than 5300 across the local competition, Mr Anderson said he believes “the atmosphere of the people and the environment” contributed to the success.

“It’s a very warm environment, which is coupled with killer workouts and not having to think about what you have planned later on in the day,” he said.

“I think the workouts themselves are really good and people are happy with the content they’re getting.

“A lot of our members are professional people, like doctors, nurses and teachers so I think they like coming in and switching

off.”

He said the space is open to everyone, with age groups starting from 16 with consent to late 60s.

“My favourite workout is called Perform and that is based on metabolic conditioning – it’s a style of workout that is high intensity interval training.

“I really enjoy offering something to Dubbo that wasn’t previously here, there are other gyms in Dubbo but there wasn’t a gym quite like ours.

“This style of gym was missing from the Dubbo scene, and we’ve filled that void nicely … a lot of members got on board and seem to really enjoy the sessions.”
