Dubbo: Three youths have been charged following multiple burglary and stolen car reports

Three youths, one aged only 11, have been charged with a string of break in and traffic offences, after an alleged pursuit through a town in the state’s central west.
Police were patrolling Dubbo CBD shortly before 11am on Sunday when they attempted to stop a Skoda sedan at the intersection of Erskine and Fitzroy St in Dubbo for the purpose of a random breath test.
When the vehicle allegedly failed to stop, a pursuit was initiated and was later terminated because of safety concerns.
Inquiries revealed the car was allegedly stolen earlier that evening from Macquarie St.
Police will allege the car drove at police several times when it was sighted throughout Dubbo.
Between 12.20am and 2am on Monday, police received reports of failed payments at a service station on Hampden St, followed by a break-in at two separate businesses on Bultje St and Douglas Mawson Dr.
A set of keys and a Toyota ute was allegedly stolen and driven through the front gates of the business on Douglas Mawson Dr.
The ute was located on Railway Ln, while the Skoda was located on Crum St about 7.30am – both cars were seized for forensic examination.
Officers attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District commenced an investigation into the incidents, which they believed were linked.
Investigators attended a home in Dubbo and arrested two boys, aged 15 and 11, and a 15-year-old girl.
The girl allegedly assaulted police several times during the arrest.
She was charged with three counts of assaulting a police officer without actual bodily harm, assaulting a police officer causing bodily harm and using a weapon with an intention to commit an indictable offence.
The older boy was charged with driving a stolen vehicle, initiating a police pursuit, aggravated break and entering, goods in personal custody suspected of being stolen, larceny, dishonestly obtaining property by deception and being carried in a stolen vehicle.
The younger boy was charged with aggravated break and entering, goods in personal custody suspected of being stolen, larceny and being carried in a stolen vehicle.
The boys were refused bail to appear at a children’s court on Tuesday, while the girl was given conditional bail by a children’s court on Monday to return on December 18.
Inquiries are continuing.
