An 18-year-old man has been refused bail following an alleged break-in and assault in the state’s central west earlier this week.
Orana Mid-Western Police District officers established Operation Boa in January, targeting property-related crime in Dubbo and surrounds.
Two men - allegedly armed with knives - forced entry in a home on Macquarie St, Dubbo, about 5pm on Monday.
Police claim the pair threatened the two occupants, demanding cash and drugs, before punching a woman in the face.
Police were told they were known to each other.
Officers commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Following inquiries, officers attended a home in Leavers St, Dubbo, and arrested an 18-year-old man about 7am on Tuesday morning.
Charlie Stanley was taken to Dubbo Police Station and charged with robbery in company, aggravated break and enter and commit a serious indictable offence while armed and common assault.
Stanley appeared at Dubbo Local Court on Tuesday where he was formally refused bail to reappear at the same court on April 11.
Inquiries under Operation Boa continue.
