A 61-year-old Coonamble electrician who imported a child-like sex doll and set up a camera in a young girl’s bedroom – and another in her parents’ room – is set to be sentenced in Dubbo District Court.

Clinton Lloyd Jack was arrested on February 18, 2021 following a joint Australian Border Force and NSW Police investigation, and pleaded guilty on March 24 in Dubbo Local Court to nine charges which included filming and observing a person in a private act without consent and possessing child abuse material.

According to documents tendered to court, 13 days before Jack’s arrest, Australian Border Force investigators intercepted a Fedex consignment addressed to him, finding 11 items including a 139cm child-like sex doll, a douche and a small G-string among other sexualised clothing.

“The sex doll had features consistent with the appearance of a child, no breast development, a narrow waist and had vaginal, oral and anal cavities for sexual pleasure,” agreed facts state.

“The crudely constructed bra and silicone breast insets were sticky taped to the doll in an attempt to conceal the doll’s childlike appearance. Once removed, the doll was observed to be flat-chested with small nipples.“

Clinton Lloyd Jack was excused from attending Dubbo District Court on Monday where his matter was adjourned to September 30 for sentencing.

In executing a search warrant of Jack’s property on February 18, 2021, investigators found multiple electronic devices, cameras, video recorders, storage devices, the young girl’s underwear, a 158cm silicone doll, CDs and DVDs.

Police accessed a mobile phone of Jack’s, finding an application which displayed live-streamed video footage of two bedrooms and in further investigations of his property, photos and videos were found which appeared to be child abuse material.

Jack was placed under arrest and he subsequently told police that he installed cameras in a family’s house “without their knowledge or consent”.

After being conveyed to Coonamble Police Station, Jack continued his revelations to police, stating that he began to have sexual fantasies of the family’s daughter when he turned 60 in 2020.

“He installed the cameras in the hope of seeing her naked. (Jack) agreed this was for his sexual pleasure,” agreed facts state.

“(Jack) had never had sex and thought seeing (the adult couple) have sex would be the next best thing.”

In reviewing the multimedia material seized from Jack’s house, officers found USBs and SD cards including hundreds of videos and images classified in category one – containing pre-pubescent females involved in sexual acts – and category two – containing real pre-pubescent females involved in sexual acts or were concentrated on the anal/genital region of the child.

Among the material were videos and images of the adult couple engaging in sexual intercourse and of the child’s “exposed breast or genital area”.

A folder on an SD card titled “selfies” contained 56 images and 16 videos of Jack in the couple’s and child’s bedroom where his penis was exposed and further videos depicting self-pleasure.

On the same SD card, in a folder called “Spy Cam” there were “videos showing a sex doll either engaged in sexual intercourse or exposing their genital and breast area”.

“These images and videos were all captured in (the child’s) bedroom with the sex doll dressed in clothing belonging to (the child),” agreed facts state.

On Monday, the court briefly heard from Jack’s lawyer, Rachel Waugh and Mr Meredith from the DPP. After discussions with Judge Smith, the matter was adjourned to September 30 for sentencing after multiple dates in August were unable to be confirmed.
