Coonabrarabran: New leads into ‘suspicious’ death of 2018 baby

New information has been revealed as investigations continue into the ‘suspicious’ death of a central west baby. Here’s the latest of the investigation.

Police are appealing for information from the community as investigations continue into the death of a baby in the state’s west in 2018.

After receiving new information on Wednesday, Strike Force King have executed a crime scene warrant at a property home at in the Coonabarabran regional area.

About 10am on July 23, 2018, emergency services were called to a home at Binnaway following reports of a nine-month-old girl was unresponsive.

The baby was taken to Coonabarabran Hospital - where she died a short time later.

According to a NSW Police statement, Orana Mid-Western Police District detectives established the strike force in 2018 to investigate the circumstances surrounding the “suspicious” death.

No one has been charged.

While the strike force is waiting on results of the fresh examinations, they are appealing to the community for information.
