A man has died following a single-vehicle crash on a race circuit in the state’s west on Wednesday morning.

Emergency services rushed to the intersection of Mountain Straight and Hinton Rd on Mount Panorama in Bathurst, following reports of a crash about 9.50am on Wednesday morning.

The driver, who is yet to formally identified, but is believed to be in his 30s, was located deceased.

Chifley Police District officers have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
