WOODLAND Road Public School P&C and teachers are joining forces to host a fundraising election day barbecue and cake stall on Saturday from 8am.
The school, at 20 Woodland Rd, is a polling booth in the Macarthur federal electorate and voters are invited to buy sausage sandwiches, egg and bacon rolls, cakes, biscuits, slices, lollies and drinks when they cast their vote.
P&C president Lee-Anne Hanney said all funds raised on the day would be used to buy play equipment for the school’s oval.
“We have hosted a barbecue and stall for the last two federal elections,’’ she said.
“The stall did really well at the last election and we hope it does really well this time as well.’’
Although people can cast their vote until 6pm, the stall will open until 2pm.
Ms Hanney said the stall would be manned by up to eight parents and four teachers.
She urged voters to get in early to buy the delicious treats and sweets on the day.
MACARTHUR
Rosemeadow Public School P&C is holding a barbecue with breakfast and drinks from 7am. The school is located at 64 Anthony Drive, Rosemeadow. Details: 4621 1733.
