The historic Menangle Store is officially on the market, and the asking price is more than $1.5 million.

Owner Brian Redmond hopes to get $1.62 million for the property, which sits on 1359 sqm of land on Station St.

The Menangle Store is believed to have been built in 1904, and currently includes a general store, liquor shop, post office, barn and two residential tenancies.

The property was listed by Combined Commercial yesterday, and has already been viewed more than 20,000 times.

A Combined Commercial spokesperson said the property had a huge potential to generate more income, and benefited from its proximity to Campbelltown, Camden and Sydney.

As previously reported by the Chronicle, Menangle Park will soon be home to about 3400 new homes, after land was rezoned within the Menangle Park Urban Release Area.

More to come.
