WATSONS Bay commuters will finally get public transport relief with Captain Cook Cruises announcing a commuter ferry service to and from Circular Quay.
The service started on Monday and should cut travel time for those commuting to and from the city.
“The direct route will take only 20 minutes and provide Watsons Bay locals with a fast and efficient option to travel into the city and home each day,” said Captain Cook Cruises general manager Anthony Haworth.

It comes after the NSW Government last year announced it would allow private ferry and charter boat operators to use public wharves on Sydney Harbour for the first time.
“The Watsons Bay community has been crying out for this service for years,” Mr Haworth said.
The ferry service will operate in peak travelling times offering nine departures from Watsons Bay each weekday.
A return ticket would cost $14 and a Travel 10 would cost $62.
